Yowza. Audi R4 renderings
Feast your eyes upon this piece of automotive eye candy: the forthcoming Audi R4. As the name implies, the R4 is an all-out sports car, slottedbelow Audi's outstanding R8. More than just an 5/6ths R8, the R4 will all be offerd with an all-electric setup for the top-of-the-line mode, along with other drivetrain options distinct from it's big brother.
Shown last month in Frankfurt in full concept regalia as the E-tron, these renderings offer a taste of what the less radical design of a production version might look like. As a reminder, here's a glimpse of the E-tron:
The new magic of demystification
The modern music industry has long been devoted to contriving fantasy - electronic instruments, manipulated vocal performances and larger-than life personas, brought to life in towering stages and of course effects-laden, million dollar music videos. But with the democratization of technology, and our collective weariness of endless illusion, has dawned a new age, where artists can peel back the veneer and bare the true craft behind the music. This video - an acoustic cover of Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' is a magnificent example.
Here's how Snarkmarket describes the video and genre:
Showing us a complicated, virtuoso performance, but making it really clear and accessible at the same time. It’s entertaining, but it’s also an exercise in demystification—which of course is exactly the opposite objective of every music video, ever

RWD Toyota FT-86 coupe concept
From los jalopniks:
The Toyota FT-86 concept is the fruit of cooperation between Toyota Motor Company and Subaru, and as such will wear a common chassis and some degree of engine commonality, at the least a 2.0 liter, four cylinder boxer engine dubbed the "C-45 Boxer" and making between 200 and 250 HP will power the rear wheels through a manual six speed transmission, and get this — no hybrid system. Saints be praised.
Perhaps most telling are the car's overall dimensions. At 163.7 inches long, 69.3 inches, a wheelbase of 101.2 inches, and 49.6 inches high, it's thankfully compact, smaller in length, width and height than the Nissan 370Z, and slightly longer in wheelbase.
Without a doubt this is the best looking Toyota in a very long time … ever, perhaps. Although it is labeled as a concept, it really is just a thinly veiled production design. And the spec sheet backs up the good looks with the type of mechanicals enthusiasts drool over: compact, lightweight, and decent power from a boxer-four flowing through a 6-speed stick.
The ultra-low fender line, tastefully sculpted flanks, and wide, squat stance establish a powerful presence. When it goes on sale late next year, don’t be surprised when it generates waiting lists and commands thousands over sticker.
