Inforgraphic of the week: The farthest point from a McDonalds in the lower 48

Not surprising, of course. Austin had a good suggestion: "Let's overlay visualization of data on cases of diabetes and obesity and see if any patterns emerge."

The biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington.
Each has their place, I suppose.
Automobile as sculpture. The car itself, although lustworthy, is not exactly my idea of perfection. But the video is a object lesson in filming sheetmetal. Sex on wheels, as they say.
Update: A bit of context, from the LA Times:
The question of what Bugatti is going to do with itself once it completes the Veyron's run of 300 cars may have been answered today when [the company] unveiled the concept 16C Galibier. ... With the Veyron's W16 engine turned around and put under the hood, and here fitted with two-stage superchargers (instead of the Veyron's four turbochargers), the Galibier will have ample low-end torque [likely] between 920 and 1,000 pound-feet of torque. The company is targeting a top speed of 240 mph, which would handily establish the Galibier as the fastest four-door car in the world.
Uglier than you ever thought possible. I mean, fuck, this is some stomach-churning shit.
You know how nerds like to say "oh I just threw up in my mouth"? Well, this is literally making me sick.
Nepotism is part of the problem; media corruption is also part; the total uselessness of the Democratic party and the nihilism of the Republicans doesn't help. But something is rotten in America at this moment in time; and those of us who supported Obama to try and change this decay and decline should use this fall to get off our butts and fight for change.
Neat visuals, cool messaging. A nice attempt to connect the dots of their new lineup, and build a little anticipation of the new CTS coupe.
However, it lacks the sense of edginess that their Kate Walsh ads always have, or the sense of art and refinement Infiniti and Lexus are able to convey in theirs. Thematically, it is a bit of a cliche to equate a car (or a car lineup) with a rocket launch, isn't it? So in the end, there is a certain sense of being dated - a dangerous association that Cadillac wants to avoid.
A beautifully made film, a fascinating story. Jimmy seems 100% together ... and yet, you wonder, what has led him to such a life?
